Circles & scoring
- Each submission is scored at submit time. Circle bonuses use your Circle as it existed before that submission — not retroactively.
- Submit before you have a Circle? Those entries still count, but without Circle member bonuses. Create or join a Circle, then keep submitting to earn member bonuses on new entries.
- Individual leaderboard: anyone can compete — Circle optional. A solo submitter with many quality venues can rank highly.
- Circle leaderboard (team prizes): only submissions tied to a Circle count. Points from solo-only submissions roll up to your individual total, not a Circle total.
- Verified Circle members = people who joined your Circle with an active OpenTeeBox.golf account before you submitted — not pending invites. Invited-but-not-joined contacts do not count.
- Member bonus: +2 points per verified member on each submission (cap +20). A smaller Circle with rich submissions (website, address, phone) can still outscore a larger Circle with thin entries.
- Nested Circle bonus (+10 each): a verified member who also founded their own Circle and has an accepted contest venue counts toward this bonus on your submission.
How to participate
- Create a free OpenTeeBox.golf account (followers who have not signed up are not eligible).
- Start a Circle — your regular golf crew — and invite real partners.
- In the app, submit non-traditional venues you use: simulators, lounges, driving ranges, indoor/practice locations.
- Include a website URL whenever possible — it speeds review and earns the most points.
- Tip: Add OpenTeeBox.golf to your home screen for one-tap access while the contest runs (no app store needed).

Duplicates already in OpenTeeBox.golf are auto-closed and earn no points. Max 5 submissions per member per day.
Prizes
- #1 Circle: 12 months Continental Access (post at traditional courses across your home continent).
- #2–3 Circles: 6 months Continental Access.
- Top 10 individual contributors (not on a winning Circle): 3 months Continental Access.
- Everyone with 3+ accepted venues: Contributor badge on profile.
Tie-breakers: (1) most submissions with website, (2) largest verified Circle, (3) earliest first accepted submission. Indoor/practice venues remain open on every plan — Continental Access widens traditional course geography only.
Official rules
- Open to registered OpenTeeBox.golf users with a verified account — including the Free tier. Create a free account to enter; social followers alone are not eligible.
- Only coordination venues (simulator, lounge, driving range, indoor/practice) count — not traditional golf courses.
- Submissions must be good-faith, accurate, and for real venues members can book or visit.
- OpenTeeBox.golf Member Services reviews all submissions; fraudulent or spam entries are disqualified.
- Staff and immediate family of OpenTeeBox.golf operators may participate but are ineligible for tier prizes.
- Prizes are membership tier upgrades, not cash. OpenTeeBox.golf may adjust scoring display for fairness but will not retroactively remove good-faith accepted venues.
